Lotus Exige S1 LHD, registered with an FFSA Passport

A notice to enthusiasts and collectors of the Hethel-based marque. A rare opportunity to acquire a genuine piece of history: the second Lotus Exige S1 to roll off the production line.

This is a genuine, original LHD (factory-fitted left-hand drive, not converted). 23,000 km. MOT passed.

History:
1st owner: entered in regional hillclimb races, with a decent track record. (Daniel Allais)
2nd owner (since 2004): used exclusively for leisure driving.

Sold with its FFSA GT Passport and roll cage. The car is ready to be driven on the road or entered into historic racing.

Complete file: A thick folder of invoices and period newspaper cuttings mentioning the car is included with the sale.

Lotus Motorsport 190ch ECU kit.
Carbon fibre air box.
AP Racing high-performance brake kit: 4-piston front calipers (Lotus Sport), 2-piston rear calipers with hydraulic handbrake (integrated into the original handbrake).

Recent work:
Complete timing belt service (water pump, rollers)
New spark plugs, air and fuel filters.
All new sensors (temperature, lambda, etc.).

Cooling system upgrades:
QED Racing 74° offset aluminium thermostat, adjustable Spal Revotec cut-off sensor.

Thermal insulation of the exhaust manifold to limit heat transfer into the engine compartment and protect the alternator.
Installation of a heat shield to protect the long driveshaft.

Stack gauges to monitor oil pressure and temperature, and coolant temperature.

Bespoke airflow management (custom 3D-printed parts) to optimise fresh air flow to the oil cooler and carbon fibre airbox.

Supplied with an upgraded air intake kit featuring an extended carbon airbox to improve performance, as well as an oil sump partition kit.

The car has a sports exhaust and a catalytic converter bypass; the original exhaust and catalytic converter are included.

Cosmetic condition:
The bodywork is in its original condition (very average condition / signs of hillclimb racing).
Ideal for a driver who wants to get driving straight away without worrying about scratches, or an excellent restoration base for a classic car project.
