Hillclimber (Peter Hubbard)
I am 82 years old and have raced two stroke engined vehicles since I was 16YO. I constructed my 1st Go-Kart at 15/16 Yo and raced in Class 4, with gearbox for 10 years. Since retiring in 2004, I have returned to motorsport by constructing and racing at Hill Climbs and Sprints, much safer than circuit racing which has become a contact sport. During this period I have constructed 4 Hill climb cars only 1 with a 4 stroke engine, a Marcos Gt. My recent builds have been "Maximus" using an original Prosport 3000 chassis into which I fitted an Evinrude V8 2 stroke with 350 hp and using a CVT transmission. The latest build "Minimus" is the car for sale since I built it for my Grandson to race , obtaining the necessary clerk of course signatures required to obtain the licence required to drive the V8 car, but he has now emigrated to Spain with his family so it is redundant and the sale proceeds will fund the continued development of the V8 project.
