Austin historic race cars

AUSTIN

Founded in 1905 by Herbert Austin in Longbridge, England, the Austin Motor Company has made a significant contribution to automotive history, both in the consumer vehicle sector and in motorsport. Austin shone particularly brightly in rallying, with vehicles such as the Mini, which dominated the Monte Carlo Rally in the 1960s. The brand was also present in touring car racing, demonstrating the versatility and performance of its models. An interesting anecdote concerns the Mini, originally conceived as an economy car, which became a rally legend, proving that innovation and performance can go hand in hand with affordability.
