LAMBORGHINI HURACÁN STO

The name says it all: STO stands for Super Trofeo Omologata, which is the road-going version of the Huracáns that compete in the Lamborghini one-make series and in GT3 championships. Every detail is derived from the track, starting with the ‘cofango’ – a unique element that integrates the bonnet, wings and bumper in homage to the Miura – right through to the dorsal fin and the adjustable rear wing, with over 75 per cent of the exterior panels made from carbon fibre.

At its heart lies the naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine, producing 640 CV and 565 Nm, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and rear-wheel drive only. Weighing just 1,339 kg dry – 43 kg less than the Performante – the STO sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds and reaches 310 km/h. A rear-axle steering system, CCM-R carbon-ceramic brakes and track-specific driving modes make it one of the purest and most exhilarating Lamborghinis ever type-approved for the road.
