AUDI R8 LMS GT3 V10 5.2 ex Christian ABT

For sale: a factory Audi R8 LMS GT3, entered by ABT Sportsline in the 2009 ADAC GT Masters and driven by Christian Abt, who was champion that season. This chassis scored several official victories, including a double triumph at Assen, as well as a win at Hockenheim.

Unveiled at the end of 2008, the Audi R8 LMS marks a decisive turning point for the Ingolstadt-based brand: it is the first sports car developed specifically for customer teams as part of the new Audi 'Customer Racing' programme, the fruit of close collaboration between Audi Sport and quattro GmbH.

The first twelve chassis products (0101 to 0112) were delivered in March 2009 for in-house development, forming the basis for the founding generation of R8 LMS GT3s. The results exceeded all expectations, with the R8 LMS claiming 23 victories and 3 major titles in its first international season.

Chassis 0104, which we are offering, is directly associated with these successful debuts. Entered by ABT Sportsline, it took part in almost all the rounds of the 2009 ADAC GT Masters, and contributed to Christian Abt's title, crowned drivers' champion that same year.
