Audi historic race cars

AUDI

Audi, founded on July 16, 1909 by August Horch, is a brand that has profoundly marked the history of motor sport. Present in rallying, Audi revolutionized the discipline in the 1980s with the Quattro, the first rally car to make effective use of all-wheel drive. The brand also shone in endurance racing, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans several times thanks to its technological innovations. Audi has also distinguished itself in DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) and Formula E, underlining its commitment to competition and sustainability. Little-known anecdote? Audi was one of the first manufacturers to integrate an all-wheel drive system into rally cars, forever changing the face of the sport.
