Tyrrell Racing
Tyrrell Racing was a British Formula One constructor founded by Ken Tyrrell in 1958. Initially, the team competed in Formula Junior and Formula 2, but they became famous in the 1970s for their success in Formula One. Tyrrell won its first F1 World Championship in 1971 with driver Jackie Stewart. The team is also known for the innovative Tyrrell P34, a six-wheeled car used in 1976-1977. Despite declining results in the later years, Tyrrell was an iconic name in F1 until its sale in 1998 to become part of the BAR team.
