Lotus

Founded in 1948 by Colin Chapman, Lotus has established itself as an iconic motorsport brand, renowned for its "weight is the enemy" philosophy. Lotus excelled in Formula 1, where it won several championships, and also made its presence felt in endurance and sports car racing. Lotus vehicles are famous for their agility and performance-oriented engineering. Interesting anecdote: Lotus is credited with introducing the "wing" innovation to Formula 1 in the 1960s, revolutionizing racing car aerodynamics and profoundly influencing the design of modern sports cars.
