ROVER

Founded in 1878 as a cycle company before moving into automobiles in 1904, Rover gained a reputation for robust, reliable cars. Although primarily known for its touring cars, Rover also had a notable presence in motorsport, notably in rallying and touring car racing, where models such as the Rover SD1 shone. An interesting anecdote is that Rover developed the iconic V8 engine, widely used in racing, after acquiring it from Buick, demonstrating its ability to innovate and adapt in the competitive field of motoring.
