Fondmetal historic race cars

Fondmetal

Fondmetal is an Italian manufacturer of alloy wheels founded in 1972 by Gabriele Rumi. The company made its mark in Formula 1, initially supplying wheels to teams such as Osella, Williams, and Ligier during the 1980s, before running its own team between 1991 and 1992. Although its performance as a team was modest, Fondmetal left a lasting impact on motorsport through its technological innovations and its wind tunnel, which has been used by several teams for aerodynamic development.
