Britannia FJ
Britannia was a British constructor involved in Formula Junior in 1960. The company was founded by Ackland Geddes, an heir to the Dunlop tyre fortune. Geddes hired John Tojeiro, a renowned car designer, to create the Britannia Formula Junior, aiming to promote the Britannia name through motorsport. The car, powered by a Ford Kent engine tuned by Basson, debuted late in the 1960 season but struggled to achieve notable success. Only a few cars were built before the company went into liquidation, after which Tojeiro acquired the remaining parts and continued producing cars under his own name. Despite its limited achievements, the Britannia FJ is still seen in historic racing events like the Lurani Trophy.
