Classic Car Design is delighted to present this magnificent Porsche 911 Type 997 Carrera 4 GTS. For even greater exclusivity, this is the convertible version.
As for the exterior, the 911 needs no introduction! That said, the 997 is the model that revives the curves and round headlights of its legendary predecessors! The look is decidedly sporty, thanks to the wings and track width that are even wider than those of the S models, and the superb black ‘RS Spyder’ centre-lock wheels. The soft top is in perfect condition.
Inside, the upholstery is in perfect condition. Upon opening the door, you’ll notice the carbon-fibre door sills bearing the GTS logo, followed by the full leather option (without Alcantara), the sports seats and the Sport Design steering wheel. The Sport Chrono Plus package’s stopwatch adds that quintessential Porsche touch… For practicality’s sake, this example retains the optional rear seats. It naturally features the PCM with the 9-speaker amplified Bose sound system exclusive to the Audio Plus package.
Under the bonnet, the 3.8-litre direct-injection engine fitted with VarioCam Plus delivers 408 ch and is mated to the famous 7-speed PDK gearbox. The car naturally features the sports chassis with PASM and a limited-slip differential. Launch Control mode guarantees maximum acceleration thrills! The sports exhaust system produces a distinctive sound on demand and depending on the driving mode. This 911 runs perfectly and has been regularly serviced, as evidenced by its service history book, which is almost 100 per cent stamped by the manufacturer’s authorised network; the last scheduled service took place last January.
