Original RS 1600 base model with reinforced bodywork and widened wings.

Preparation & Racing History
Original preparation: Built and prepared over a two-year period (2000–2002) by Gabriele Terzi, the leading Italian specialist in Ford Escort Gr.2 cars.

Rino Righi era (2003–2021): A long and successful career in historic rallies (Sanremo, Elba, Var), renowned for its exceptional reliability and numerous titles.

Later fitted with a BDG 2.0-litre aluminium engine (Tony Thompson, UK).
Complete Restoration & Current Condition

Owner since 2022: Full, bespoke restoration carried out by the specialist firm Equipe Europe (detailed invoices available).

New/refurbished mechanical components:
New 2.0-litre BDG engine tuned by Geoff Richardson (UK).
New HZF FIA gearbox.
Exhaust system, wiring loom, brakes, suspension and steering fully refurbished.

Condition: Has not been driven since this comprehensive and thorough refurbishment.

Compliance & Recent Results
TC24 class winner and 15th overall in the Tour Auto (with Richard Kollé).
Eligible for prestigious events (Tour Auto, Peter Auto meetings, VHC rallies, circuit racing, hill climbs).

FIA PTH validated by the FFSA (issued in November 2024), valid until 31 December 2034.
