Swallow Doretti

Swallow Doretti (1954) is a confidential British brand, with only 276 produced.
Most of them were exported to the USA, but some were also entered in races on the new continent.
This one has been fully and professionally restored from the chassis, retaining all its period features and modifications: aluminium body, XK120 brakes, aluminium radiator, Standard Triumph racing engine developing around 160 bhp...
The engine has also been rebuilt, as has the gearbox and axle.
This Swallow Doretti with its typical 50s racing configuration would have raced in its day, as its condition on arrival in France attests.
After a complete restoration, it has been restored to its former glory, retaining its original patina (aged new paintwork).

A race car, surprisingly easy to use, registered for the road... an opportunity to be seized.

It was the subject of an 8-page article in the leading French classic car magazine "Retroviseur".
