GTU NISSAN 300 ZX

Folks, this is a new build and has been on track for 3 events, two being tests. This is a GTU based Nissan 300 ZX using the same body molds as developed by Electromotive/ Leitzinger in the early 80’s. Originally the idea was to build this car to run SCCA GT2, but quickly became a build for an updated chassis, vintage bodied Nissan race car primarily for vintage racing. What originally drew me to this car was the way it looks. Additionally, I love the way the components are readily available at competition shops. The builder kept in mind simplicity and fun, while still maintaining the look of a beautiful vintage car. The unobtainable parts aspect that I normally run into on my Nissan/Datsun S30 chassis is pretty much gone. The fact of the matter is, for me, I have too many race cars right now and need to let this one go to a great home. I have driven this car and it’s a blast to drive. It does everything you ask of it and more and recently won its class overall at the 2024 Mitty with my friend Jesse Prather driving. Here are a few bullet points about this wonderful 300 ZX.
• Strong,fresh VG30 , race prepared and running on triple carbies. Stock ignition system! For reference, this car qualified at 1:32.6 at Road Atlanta in May.

• 3 sets of lightweight wheels, some BBS, some Sanders engineering
• Full array of Stewart Warner gauges, recently added fuel gauge, and voltmeter

• JFZ calipers with Brembo rotors

• Uses 10” fronts and 11” rear tires
