This 1972 MG Midget is now available for sale. Built in 1999, the car has since raced regularly and is ready to take you to the winner’s circle. During its 2025 season, the car got a podium position in every race it entered.

The MG 1275 inline-four engine runs very strong on 108 or 110 octane fuel. The 11:1 high compression head has SU HS-2 carburetors on a port matched head. The entire engine has always undergone strict maintenance and high quality rebuild standards. The engine currently has six hours of runtime. The straight cut close ratio 4 speed transmission shifts with precision and shows no weakness or wear. The same can be said about the Fidanza clutch system and 3.9 differential currently installed.

The Michigan Blue exterior has been remarkably well-kept for being a race car. The paint levels on all panels showed readings above 5.2 mil and on average read around 9.2 mil thickness.

The cockpit is well sorted and very neat. All gauges function perfectly. The Recaro HANS halo seat and Sabelt GT3 harnesses are of the highest quality and incredibly comfortable. The seat is currently mounted for a 5’6’-5’9” driver and can be adjusted as needed for taller drivers. The harnesses expire in 2028. Recently installed in 2026 was a FIA rated Lifeline Zero Fire Suppression system.

All four Hoosier TDR tires were brand new as of 2026 and only have four heat cycles on them. Included in the sale are a set of 13” Superlite wheels with rain tires mounted with date codes from 2018. Also included are another set of TDR tires as well as R7 semi-slick tires allowed in the SCCA.

Included in the sale are an assortment of spare parts, a pint of paint, a canopy tent, and the trailer.
