Lotus Europa 1971

Description

For sale: our 1970 Lotus Europa Hemi 807.

The car was built and developed into a race car in Italy by RS Historics before it came to us and was optimized further. In the past, it has been entered in the Peter Auto Classic Endurance Series, among other events. More recently, it has also appeared at invite-only events such as the Tutto Bene Hill Climb in Italy and Ultrace in Düsseldorf.

This Lotus Europa is not fitted with the usual Twin Cam engine, but with the Renault “Hemi 807” engine, as also used in some Alpine A110 and Renault Gordini models. The historical basis is two Europas that competed in the 1971 international hillclimb races at St. Ursanne and Ollon-Villars.

A current power graph is available on request.

The sale additionally includes:

A shorter (hillclimb) gearbox
A second set of Revolution wheels
And many other spare parts of all kinds

The car does not currently have a valid HTP (Historic Technical Passport), but has had one in the past. On request, we can also hand the car over with road registration and a fresh TÜV/MOT inspection.

As we campaign other historic race cars as well, the Europa has unfortunately only been used sporadically by us in recent times, which is why we have decided to sell it.

Open for exchange with a pre-65 touring car or GT e.g. FIA MGB
