LOTUS 20 FORMULA JUNIOR – 1961 Chassis number: 20-J-930
HISTORY: A car with a certified history, officially registered with Lotus USA under this chassis number.
It was sold new, along with four other Lotus 20 Formula Juniors, to the official Lotus importer in the USA, Grand Prix, owned by Mr Sy Kabach, on 24 June 1961, and raced in 1961 and 1962 in races on the American East Coast.
It is likely that he also raced this car, as, in addition to being a Lotus importer, Sy Kabach was also a racing driver.
The car was sold in Italy in 2005, fully restored, and since then has only taken part in two short hillclimb races (the Vernasca Silver Flag and one other, covering a total of just 20 kilometres...).
CONDITION: Fresh from a complete AZ restoration; all parts are original, including the modified Ford 1100 engine, the Hewland MK 4 5-speed gearbox, new drum brakes and everything else......
The car requires new HTP and new seatbelts as they have expired.
