Since its launch in 1964, the Ford Mustang has embodied the spirit of American muscle cars, combining power and assertive style. The 1967 GT 390 version, powered by a 390 ci V8 with a four-barrel carburettor developing 320 bhp, is one of the most emblematic versions, not least for its involvement in rallying.
The car on display is a faithful replica of the Mustang entered by Ford of France in the 1967 Monte Carlo Rally. Produced at the Metuchen plant in New Jersey, it is a genuine GT 390 Hardtop S-Code, prepared in the spirit of the official cars. In 2007, it benefited from a complete restoration by specialist Bullit Racing, carried out with no budget constraints and representing over €50,000 worth of work. The body was completely stripped and rebuilt, while the powertrain was carefully overhauled and prepared for use in FIA competition, in compliance with the Group 1 homologation sheet. With its FIA technical passport, this Mustang has already taken part in several editions of the Monte Carlo Historique, confirming the quality of its preparation and its reliability. Its presentation faithfully reproduces the period livery used by Ford France, while incorporating all the technical features required for regularity or competition. This car represents a rare opportunity to take part in historic events aboard an authentic GT 390 prepared to the very highest standards, combining American power with the history of European rallying.
