OPEL MANTA 400 GROUP B COMPETITION RESULTS
In rallying, the car has been driven by Ari Vatanen, Henri Toivonen, Jimmy Mac Rae, Roono Altonen and, of course, Guy Fréquelin.

In the hands of the Belgian team of Guy Colsoul and Alain Lopes (co-driver), the Opel Manta 400 led the Paris-Dakar rally for a week against the 4×4s, even though it only had two-wheel drive. The end result was fourth place overall (first in 4×2).

The Opel Manta 400 also competed in the VLN endurance championship (at the Nurburgring) and in the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

In August 2014, the Opel operated by Kissling Motorsport ran its 100th VLN race. This included almost 38 class wins and a total of 57 podium finishes1.

WRC podiums :

2nd in the 1984 Safari Rally (Aaltonen/Drews) ;
3rd in the 1983 Rally Great Britain (McRae/Grindrod).
