In the circle of Porsche collectors, the 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 type 964 occupies a place of absolute choice. Porsche's intention from the outset was to develop a customer racing car that could compete not only in national races, but also in the major international series that existed at the time.

The RSR 3.8 could be ordered with different exhaust and intake filters to comply with the technical regulations of the different racing series of the time. This included compliance with the technical regulations of the ADAC GT Cup, the BPR series and a number of major international endurance events such as the Nürburgring 24 Hours, Spa-Francorchamps, Daytona and, of course, Le Mans.

To homologate the new car under FIA regulations, at least 100 examples had to be built, created by combining the production numbers of the RS 3.8 road car and the RSR itself.

In 1993, Stadler Motorsport, with the support of Porsche's racing division, used chassis 409083 from a former 964 Cup to build an original RSR 3.8. That same year, the car took part in its first race in the BPR Global GT Series and remained accident-free throughout its racing history.

Currently equipped with its original chassis, an original RSR engine with around 30 hours of use and the original gearbox completely rebuilt in 2014 by Stadler Motorsport, the car is presented in perfect condition which reinforces its importance.
