Classic Car Design brings you this rare Renault Mégane II R26-R. Launched in 2008, it is a direct evolution of the Mégane R26, taking the 'R' concept even further: drastically lightened thanks in particular to the removal of the rear bench seat, the soundproofing and the polycarbonate rear windows. The chassis settings have been refined and the transmission retains the limited-slip differential. In 2008, the R26-R set a Nürburgring record for a front-wheel-drive production car, with a time of 8'17". Only 126 examples were produced for the French market (450 in all).

Externally, this car, which has only been through 2 hands, is in very good condition overall, with no scratches or dents of note and only a few very slight signs of use. The paintwork retains its original shine. The 18-inch red alloy wheels are in perfect condition with no scratches.

Inside, the car is in true racing style, with no frills but 2 bucket seats with approved harnesses and a 4-point roll bar. All in all, the car is in fine condition, with just a few defects typical of Méganes from this era: a little wear on the door handles and the door panel fabric has been loosened.

Mechanically, the 230 bhp are very much in evidence. Despite its low mileage, the car has always been regularly serviced, so everything works perfectly.
