Only 500 Harvard limited edition cars were bought into the U.K and in 1997, it would have been quite a lovely little sports car, with a great spec from the factory, with lots of additions over and above the standard MK1 MX5. Today, to see one that looks, sounds and drives exactly as it would have done 29 years ago, really is something super special. Yes, there are a lot of MK1 MX5’s on the road still, but how many are absolutely rust free, concours in fact, I’d wager very few! This car is as clean underneath as it is on top. A fascinating car that on paper shouldn’t garner too much interest, yet in reality, it draws as much, if not more attention than the supercars we sell, as it is just so exquisite in every way, it simply blows people away, a real petrolheads show stopper!

On the road, it drives just as a brand new MX5 would have in the late 90’s. The car has never even had an MOT advisory in its life. TO say it has been pampered would be an understatement. It hasn’t seen rain for a very long time, if at all, as we know the last two owners never took it out in the rain once. The car will have a service and fresh MOT ready for the new owner, so that you know that even though it is a true garage queen, just like all of the cars HPC supply, you can go and enjoy it as Mazda intended.

The paint shines beautifully, deep and lustrous, the interior and leather are fantastic still. The wood effect consoles, although slightly discoursed with age and UV light, aren’t cracked or damaged like most, which is nice as you can no longer source original parts for them, so it will stand out against others in that respect. The paperwork stacks up too, it really is an unrepeatable car that you will stand proudly with at any show. Every last part of this car is as clean as a whistle, the keys, the additional support brace behind the seats still has perfect chrome, the engine bay, besides some mild oxidation on the cam cover (which is natural for a car of its age), is absolutely immaculate.
