The Corvette C6 ‘Indy 500 Pace Car’ celebrates the Corvette’s ten-year tenure as the official Safety Car for the famous Indianapolis 500.
These very special Corvettes are distinguished by their distinctive Indy 500 decals, identical to those usually found on the safety cars.
Each car will bear the signature of former Indy winner Emerson Fittipaldi, as well as a unique serial number.
They will also feature the new five-spoke alloy wheels, a Z06 rear spoiler, a satellite navigation system with DVD and a ‘Luxury Pack’.
The latter includes heated seats, a head-up display showing, amongst other things, the number of Gs experienced during acceleration, a Bose sound system with seven speakers and a rear-view mirror with automatic brightness adjustment.
Only twenty coupés and five convertibles (out of the 500 produced) will be available in Europe, all in black with a Titanium Grey interior and fitted with an automatic gearbox. The convertible features a grey soft top.
