Golf 2 F2000

FOR SALE – Golf 2 GTI 16S – 1988 – Race-spec

I am selling my 1988 Golf 2 GTI 16S, which is an excellent base for building a race car. It can be entered in VHC events or used to complete an F2000 licence (the process has already begun).

💰 Over €12,000 worth of invoices, all available and on file.

🔧 Engine fully rebuilt to new condition: bored out, new pistons, connecting rod bearings, timing system and numerous new components. The engine has been fully serviced.

🏁 Modifications / equipment:

* Front and rear axles from a Golf 3
* Bilstein B8 Sport Plus front shock absorbers
* AST roll cage compliant with Annex J
* Bucket seat + 2026 harness, still valid
* Fire extinguishers purchased in July 2026
* Numerous competition parts and equipment already fitted
* Fibre rear hatch

Only a few finishing touches remain:

* Finalise the fuel system (original system currently fitted). I am supplying all the new aviation-grade hoses and fittings that have already been purchased.
* For the F2000 homologation, the two windows are missing: I am supplying an original green window with its mechanism; the other side will need to be sourced, or Makrolon could be fitted.
* An interior door panel
* A seal

The car is therefore already at a very advanced stage of preparation, with a huge number of parts fitted and work completed, and over €12,000 invested (invoices available).
