Lotus 11 Westfield

You are looking at a replica of the well documented Lotus 11 in the form of a Westfield....... dimensionally correct and mirror imaged from the original 1956 Lotus race car. Always unique and no two are the same.......... indeed this example is no exception.
Built by a successful race driver with first hand experience of the track and engineered with incredible foresight. Expense was never in question and the new owner will, I am sure, have an appreciating asset in his/ her collection. The car was built primarily for the track, however during the build road legal requirements have been incorporated to enable SVA and UK registration. The high spec is as follows; Ford cross flow 1760 cc Mexico engine fed by twin Weber carbs via a high pressure filtered fuel pump, the bigger valves being managed by a 234 fast road cam. Stainless exhaust system with bespoke manifold gets the fumes away accompanied by a delightful noise, almost symphonic. The power plant is hooked up to a Quaife 4 speed dog leg box ensuring silky smooth changes.......{into the corners and out again.... quickly !! } The sparks are provided by a 3D Motorsport electronic No dizzy map sensor & crank trigger. Currently shod with R888R tyres on minilites......... giving glue-like grip ! 145bhp and weighing in at 530kg it needs to stop and the all round aluminium brake caliper/ vented disc combo does the job extremely well. Connecting all the important bits that need to communicate a HYBRID custom made wiring harness is in place , with in built road legal requirements left disconnected.
This incredible piece of kit is without doubt a Track Star, however anyone with some automotive mechanical experience could make this a road car in a very short time. The road legal clam shell, headlamp pods and bonnet are with the car and I have the donor vehicle V5 if it helps along with the Westfield Vin.
