Renault R5 Alpine Gr.2

This car competed for one season, mainly taking part in rounds of the French VHC Championship. It finished 2nd in the small-engined class of the championship and 2nd in the E–I era of the championship (Groups 1 to 4)
The bodywork is fully welded and fitted with reinforcements identical to those of the era
1,397 cm³ engine prepared by Ferry Développement with a Gr2 intake manifold, specific alternator and throttle mounts, 45 mm carburettors, a poly-V belt drive for the water pump, a large water and oil radiator, etc.
Overhauled gearbox with 8x33 gear ratio, limited-slip differential and ball-jointed linkage
Soben suspension with threaded struts
Gr2 front and rear axles with 130 wheelbase, fitted with heavy-duty control arms
Gr2 braking system with PedalBox
Central fuel tank approved until November 2029
Seat, harness and fire extinguishers were fitted new in March 2025, valid until 2030
National roadworthiness test carried out in 2026, so this is valid until 2036
Vehicle registration document in my name.
There is a large batch of parts included with the vehicle (engine, gearbox, axles, wheels, etc.)
