BMW M3 E30 GrA ex Hugues Delage

Here's a car that made a big splash in the 1990s under the expert hands of Hugues Delage, the famous rally driver and tuner based in Villeneuve-sur-Lot.

With 193 victories to his name, several French 2ᵉ division championship titles and a victory in the Coupe de France des Rallyes, Hugues Delage is a true legend. An independent driver, he prepared his own machines, and it was at the wheel of a BMW M3 E30 Group A that he made his mark.

This car was his weapon in the 1994 and 1995 seasons. In 1994, it enabled Delage and his crew to triumph on 7 of the 9 rallies contested, claiming two major crowns: French Rally Champion 2ᵉ division and winner of the French Rally Cup. The following year, the story continued: 4 wins from 7 starts, and another French Cup crown.

A true showcase of Delage Sport's expertise, this Group A M3 demonstrated outstanding competitiveness. Built around a Matter body, it weighed just 1,065kg and produced 295bhp at 7,500rpm, transmitted to the rear wheels by a 6-speed gearbox with dog clutches. A pure concentrate of power and efficiency.

After these two seasons of glory, the car continued its career until 2007, collecting top-class results. In 2008, it came into the hands of a passionate owner, who undertook a complete restoration to restore this mechanical jewel to its former glory.

Completely overhauled in 2024, it is now in irreproachable condition, ready to resume service on the legendary stages of the Tour de Corse Historique, the Rallye du Var or any other historic event.
