Boutsenvds (Amaury Lainé)
BOUTSEN VDS is the result of a collaboration initiated at the end of 2022 between two major players in Belgian motorsport: Boutsen Racing and Marc VDS. This partnership will allow them to join forces and experience exciting races.
Founded in 1999, Boutsen Racing, based in Wavre, Belgium, is a competition team run by Olivier Lainé and Olivia Boutsen, sister of Formula 1 driver Thierry Boutsen. Since its creation, the team has won 15 championship titles and 8 vice-championships in single-seaters, prototypes, touring cars and GTs.
Marc van der Straten is a motor sports enthusiast who is best known for winning the Spa 24 Hours in 2015 with the Marc VDS Racing team. Everyone also remembers the Vertigo, the Ford GT40, the Ford Mustang or the Aston Martin prototype that took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2011 in VDS colours. The Elf Marc VDS Racing team is also on the Moto GP scene, having won 3 Moto2 world championship titles. Since 2024, the team has also competed in the SuperBike championship.
The partnership with the Lainé-Boutsen family allows Marc VDS to reconnect with GT racing and revive the Félin logo on motor racing circuits.
For Boutsen Racing, this partnership is a long-term project with big ambitions.
The BOUTSEN VDS team is taking part in the prestigious Fanatec GT World Challenge championship and the elegant Lamborghini Super Trofeo championship.
