PORSCHE 911 2.5 ST PTH FIA 2021

The 911 ST 2.5 was produced in a limited series for racing at Zuffenhausen in 1971 and 1972. The 2,492cc engines were derived from 2.2 or 2.4 engines producing 270bhp at 8,000rpm and weighing less than 800kg.
Only 47 vehicles were produced by the factory, but competition kits were offered for rallying or single circuits, with different options for the engine, gearbox and bodywork, like the model presented here.
The most accomplished 2.5 S/T like this one was sold for almost 80,000 DM. The value of one of the 8 examples still in circulation is priceless. For Porsche, this is the version before the 2.8 RSR from 1973.
This car has enlarged sheet metal rear wings, a bonnet, front wings and fibre bumpers. The wheels, as originally fitted, are 15-inch Minilite for the rear and Fuchs for the front.
The 2.5 S/T raced at Daytona, Sebring in Florida, Targa Florio, as well as the 1000 km of the Nürburgring, the 24 h of Le Mans and the Tour de France Auto with, among others, Jürgen Barth and Gérard Larousse.
This vehicle, rebuilt on the basis of a 1969 2.4S with its FIA F-7635 passport and GTS26 class, is true to the original. Its value is estimated at between €350,000 and €650,000.
Thanks to its FFSA Technical Passport up to date to 2021, it is eligible for historic races such as LE TOUR DE CORSE or the TOUR AUTO where it has already been entered. It is of course equipped for historic races and a file of specific equipment is available on request.
The vehicle is regularly monitored on these outings by a racing team specialising in modern and vintage Porsches.
