Mercedes 280 SL Pagoda

In the early years, Mercedes was looking to replace its 300SL and 190SL. In 1963, the Stuttgart-based brand presented the Pagoda, a desirable convertible produced to appeal to the American market.

Drawn by French designer Paul Bracq, his pencil stroke and the work of engineers produced a masterfully cut, comfortable and avant-garde cabriolet.

Equipped with a 2.8-litre 6-cylinder engine developing 170 bhp, the 280SL was at the top of the range.

Originally from the United States, this model was restored by its current owner in 2016. It passed through the Bracq workshops and underwent a major overhaul, including the switch to electronic ignition, a complete overhaul and servicing of the automatic gearbox.

Today, this car is in very good condition: the engine runs perfectly and the car handles well. The soft top is in excellent condition, as is the interior. The original hard top is also present.

This Mercedes Pagode is ready to take to the road with its future owner.
