"Kougar cars were founded in 1976, the idea was to build a bespoke sports car with a unique identity of its own. The styling was not borrowed from any car, but founder Rick Stevens had a particular fondness for the Frazer Nash Le Mans and Healey Silverstone, the resulting cars have a very distinctive look, coupled with Jaguar XK running gear and mechanicals, they are not only exhilarating to drive, but are also respected as a manufacturer in their own right, as some 200 original models were built."
